I went to the Classic Car Show at the NEC last weekend and, despite the fact that I should know better at my age, got sucked in by the Swissvax salesman's sales pitch and ended up spending an embarassing amount of money on said products.
Whilst I know that the vast majority of cheaper stuff is perfectly good, and some of it is excellent, I'm curious as to whether Swissvax is a premium product that is worth every penny or whether I just wasted rather a large amount of my hard-earned.
I can't help but notice that it doesn't get mentioned much on these pages...

Swissvax is a high quality range of products sharing the very top of the Wax market with Zymol.

My only issue with Swissvax is their pricing. This happened some years ago.
They used to be sensible prices, then everything went up and upset a lot of people including me.
If you check the pricing Vs Zymol, you'll find everything is that little bit more.

My only experience with their wax is Crystal Rock (£795), which I had applied by a detailer.
Yes it looked great and lasted probably 8 Months... but so does Zymol Titanium Glaze at £72 a pot.

If I was in the market for a wax I'd buy Zymol Glasur, but I'm only into Paint Sealants these days.

I bought a Mirage Discovery Kit with regular and medium cleaner fluid, nano express and mirage wax. I also bought some car bath shampoo. All in it cost around £140.
I usually use Autoglym, Meguires etc. so I thought I'd stick my toe in the premium brand for a change.
Haven't actually tried it yet thanks to the dark evenings but I'm at home tomorrow and the weather looks fairly decent. Be interesting to see how it performs.

I really like their Pneu tyre dressing, which is a lot more expensive than other products, but works really well. I've not tried their other stuff, mainly due to the price, I find Auto Finesse are a good balance between quality and price.

You'll love that lot compared to Megs and Autoglym.

I bought a pack about 14 years ago and I've yet to finish the wax; I think it may be Samurai which is at the cheaper end of the range. It's been used every six months on average on a couple of cars, so it doesn't turn out to be that expensive. Plus it's easy to apply and smells nice smile

I also got some other stuff in the pack (claybar, quick finish and detailer?) The claybar is nothing special, I've used a Meg one and it's as good, the quick finish I don't get, but the detailer is OK.

I used to use Swissvax stuff, it's very good, but I switched to Dodo Juice products and to be honest I find them just as good for my standards. I do like the Nano Express refinishing spray, though. I've not found anything better.
