AM dealer has just sent a mail shot through offering a rear camera kit that integrates with the satnav screen - anyone got one on an older MY07 Vantage?

doesn't answer your question but i've never had a rear camera until i bought my A8 (very long car). i initially thought the camera was a fab idea but i actually never use it and ends up getting in the way of reverse parking properly. combination of parking sensors and mirrors is easily enough to help me reverse park. camera for me is a waste frankly.

I used to have an Audi Q7 and it was a superb addition! Horses for courses I guess.

I have one on my 2014 V8S

Takes a bit of getting used to, and I still find myself looking in the mirrors and over my shoulders a fair bit. It's most useful once you have the car straigtened up and want to get it close to whatevber you're backing up to. With parking sensors, I could live without it.

I have one on mine and find it pretty useful, especially when the roof is up as rear vision is not good. I don't use mine all the time and still use the side mirrors but wouldn't be without it.

Worth checking with James ('Paralight') before getting something from AM - AM copied his kit smile

See http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... for some info. James' kit is front and rear, Works quoted me just shy of £4k for them to fit cameras (!), James was a lot, lot, lot cheaper and did an immaculate job.

Thats a bit steep! AM quoted me last week less than 2k but James is cheaper.

I had one on my previous car (Evora) and loved it. Although since the Vantage screen is folded away, I'm not sure how much I would use it!?

The screen pops up automatically when you engage reverse.
