Integri? Whatever the plural is, I sold my diesel A4 the other week and picked up a DC5.

Here it is with my DC2, which is now pretty much fully a track toy:

I keep forgetting to update PH with updates on my DC2. Some of you will remember it being used it funny not so funny videos of me scaring my girlfriend (Yes believe it or not, still with her lol)

Always smiling. (She thinks the video isn't online anymore, but I wont tell if you wont http://youtu.be/RYP9FhPQRz8)

This year I took it to the 'ring again and have done 5 trackdays. It's getting a bit tired now and is wanting some TLC, but still buckets of fun and it isn't going anywhere.

Few of my favourite pictures of the DC2 over the year:

Off the top of my head the changes I've made this year for track:

Camber arms front and rear + setup from Grinspeed
Federal RSR road tyres, Yoko A048 mediums for track
Moroso Baffled Sump
Mocal 19 Row Oil cooler
Full Mugen exhaust (which ended up being fked and a waste of £700.. frown )
6 point roll cage
4 point 3" harnesses

It's worth noting that out of the 5 trackdays I've done, only 1 has gone without a hitch. The first 2 at Teesside I broke half shaft bearings, both on the same corner. The first time it went it was replaced with a not so brilliant but the best I could get part, the second time I did it properly and it's been fine since. Then I had an inner CV go... It's not been a great year for the drive shafts.

Blyton Park was the faultless one, really enjoyed that day.

Though some of the laps were a bit wet, and slidey:

the more recent two at Teesside and Croft gave my distributor problems. I've fixed my distributor now and ordered a spare to take with me lol. £40 for a working unit was a bit of a bargain!

If anyones interested I made an attempt at a funny trackday video too when I was at Croft:

I have a few winter plans for the DC2 involving a wheel change and interior update, as well as a engine bay spruce up. Desperately trying to get myself a set of ITBs for it, the gains aren't unreal, I'll be lucky to see 210bhp without cams, but I've always wanted 'bodies. I might stick some cams in there too and together that could get me to 230bhp, but we'll have to see. There's also the possibility of an engine swap, but no not to a K20. A good mate of mine is just putting a H22 (Accord Type R) engine into his Civic Type R (EK9), which can be quite easily tuned to the same power but for much less £££. Going to see how his goes and decide from there, though I'd rather keep the B18 in there unless the price difference is huge!

Anyway, I'll try to keep this thread updated now for both the cars. Need a PH sticker for the DC5 but there's no easy place to put it like there is on the '2!

Cheers!

Obviously you've only just bought the DC5 and the DC2 is a track toy, but how do the two compare?

I loved my mugen, it sounded great and never failed a sound test.. however they are super heavy and for track i would certainly opt for something lighter.

Well I've done about 500 miles in the DC5 so far, I'd say initially the gearbox is much more impressive, and the car does feel quite quick. Definitely less need to shift down the gears to overtake for example, but thats down to the gearing too.

Handling wise the DC2 gives me much more confidence, you don't really feel the added weight of the '5 but at the moment it's on terrible Toyo Proxes T1Rs so I'll have to get them swapped to something decent for an accurate comparison.

Inside the DC5 is a much nicer place to be than the DC2, and it's lovely to drive to work everyday. I really do like it.

My DC2 is a UK version, I swapped the front end to the JDM version last Easter as I preferred the look.

Excellent cars.

Great looking pair of integras mate! You've had a few of the cars I wat, the 328, two integras, I'll just have to make do with my ATR! On a side note, where did you get the speedhunters sunstrip logo from?

Hi mate

I got it from Speedhunters directly, I didn't want any money going to any aftermarket rip offs (just like when you buy a PH sticker you get it from the PH shop!)

Had a Recaro Pole Position, Takata Harness and a 4.9 S4C gearbox fitted on the DC2.

Also have Enkei RPF1 in the garage. I was going to test fit them today but couldne be arsed.

Did give both the ITRs a wash though!

Also, spot the Skunk2 manifold that was recently fitted:

Thanks all! The S2000 clocks are actually gone now as of last weekend. Got tired of them to be honest, they were never that accurate and stopped at 106mph so I never knew what my speeds were at the ring which annoyed me!

So Brands Hatch on Monday went quite smoothly until I broke my brakes!

I went down and stayed in Essex at my mates the night before. He needed to fit his bucket seat as I only have one at the moment.

On the way down I got into trouble with the caravan police

Also fitted my original clocks again the other day, this is where my revs sit at 80 on the motorway, just over 5k!

Onto brands:

Lambo was slow, obviously.

You might notice this car is on Belgian plates. This is my mate Filip who I met at the 'ring in October. He said he wanted to come to the UK for a trackday... car friends are car friends regardless of where you're from!

As per usual after every session I was checking my oil. Pwizzle did it this time:

and this is how the day ended as I was going out to do my final session, I noticed a crack in my discs

Nevermind, they have been on the car since I got it 2.5 years ago

I didn't really fancy the 5 hour drive home after Brands so decided to go back to Essex to chill with the 6two1 crew. Ended up fitting coilovers to a DC2 which finished at around 1am evil

Adam's civics:

Random pic on the way home the next day:

Finally home! 500 relatively faultless miles. Now to check those brakes..

Oh

New pads and discs on order. Probably going to go for CL RC6 again smile the only concern is the toxic dust they produce which has ruined my regas.
