Following the link, ive got most parts except the steel bit that threads into the cylinder head.....anyine know what part i need to order? I know its not original but hey, its a dam sight better and keep me more warm.

A common upgrade on US TR6's is to upgrade the valve to one used on many domestic vehicles of the vintage, the generic part is Everco/Heater Control Valve Part# 74648. For instance, it's used on 60-65 AMC vehicles and 61-70 International Scouts. These are a direct fit other than the outlet is slightly larger, but the stock hose can be stretched over it, and the cable either needs to be bent around the actuation pin or an eyelet soldered on (what I did). These are MUCH easier to operate than the stock TR6 item.
