Waiting for b.scorecardsearch.com.....

Since this morning, trying to get onto PH from my elderly Mac using Firefox and I get as far as Waiting for b.scorecardsearch.com.

Does it generate any of the page? What is it doing when it is waiting?
What version of Firefox are you using?

vers 3.6.28 of Firefox.

I just get a white page and waiting for in the bar....

I'm using Chrome and the site seems to have got a lot slower over the past few days than it normally is.

Every time I click on a link I seem to be spending 10-20 seconds staring at a blank page while waiting for tags.something, optimizely, ads-amazon and goodness knows what else.

Its a tracker. install something like ghostly or Blur to block them.
