14th overall, 2nd in class! Not bad for five first timers in a little Fiesta.
We went through 8 rear nearside wheel bearings! The pit crew were changing them in four minutes.
An awesome weekend, and we think the crowd were pleased to see the underdog finish the race.

Well done. Why such a high wear rate? Just bearings not up to the job? Lucky you had so many spare.

Glad you are okay! I was wondering what had happened when I didn’t see you guys out on track in my second stint and then Tony told me when I was back in the pits!

Yes it was munching its way through them, the fiestas seem to run okay in the sprint races on them with the slicks but the long stints with more weight over the back axle (Big ATL tank) seems to have been too much for them with the slicks. Thankfully the guys had 4 and we managed to get some more smile

We all massively appreciated the support and loved the mexican wave smile Thanks everyone over the course of the weekend for supporting us it was great to see!

The Fiesta drivers were very aware of what was behind them and never got it wrong w.r.t being passed by some quick cars - And it just kept going - which is what endurance is all about - not like our car :-(

Well done!

Was this event really as good as its been made out, I didn't come down based on the poor entry list. With only 14 cars finishing and being spread over such a big track no cars on the same lap and 5 different classes (only 2 of the finishers didn't win a trophy). I would have thought the people in the safety car were up for a top place finish. A lot of promises and wild statements seem to be made in press releases prior to this meeting and non seem to come through. I cant see it being run again unfortunately as it just cant be paying its way. And I heard that all the grandstands were shut during the night so spectators that did go had to stand in the rain if they wanted to watch the safety car drive round.....

For me, it was better than its been made out but then I would say that.

I was chatting to friends on the Wednesday about the race. I was speculating and suggested that Creventic would probably be spying.
The next day I was told that the race has been sold to another company that runs races in Barcelona, Dubai, Mugello........

It seems logical to me.

You should try driving round Silverstone in the dead of night at full chat with GT cars flying past you on all sides, even with a 32 car entry, then come back and criticise the race.

It was fantastic, made all the more special have the Fiesta in the mix,

What would Creventic be buying? I'm sure they can find Silverstone's number on their own, and there's certainly nothing about the Britcar 'organisation' that they would covet.

To make it a good endurance race you need at least 60 cars on the full GP track. As for the rumors of someone buying Britcar, why? It doesn't have anything unique about it that you cant find somewhere else. And as you say, the Silverstone telephone number is on the website if you want to book the track.

Not sure,,car needs work, but that's only two weeks.

We have lots of testing coming up, maybe doing Barcelona in September, that's the plan.

Once we test I think we may do a few Britcar rounds as a test as well

Britcar have a contract for 24 hour races with Silverstone for several years.
I'm not sure how many 24 hour races they could get away with in one year.
That is where the value is.

great effort by the fiesta team, we were some of the idiots standing out in the rain on saturday. thank god for the topcats garage, they were the only place of shelter at all.
i don't think we'll bother again after saturday night, a great shame but it just didn't seem to have the friendly atmosphere of past events

I was there as one of the PH ticket winners and was really impressed with the Fiesta. I have a few pics of it in action if anyone wants them- drop me an email (files too large to post here).

I haven't received an email yet. Is there someway I should be accessing it in here, or should it go to my Hotmail account (I'm new to the forum!)
