Site causing blanking of browser

I have an old Asus laptop equipped with Splashtop and ExpressGate - it boots in 5 seconds and gets you browsing on t'internet in under 10 seconds. Won't do videos, but for forums etc it's great... until now.
PH forums load, then within maybe 2 seconds the screen blanks white and that's it, game over. Loading.....
It says it's waiting for b/scorecardresearch to load. And it'll say that forever. Refreshing the page won't work, nothing other than shutting down and starting up again in windows (which takes nearly a minute) will get the forums working. 1st world probs etc.
Scorecardresearch - please DIE.
That could be your blanking problem too. My laptop won't do adblocker or anything clever while in ExpressGate so thanks to scorecardresearch it's pretty much scrap now as far as PH is concerned.
Oh, and while I'm typing - PH Classifieds
did they headhunt the Autotrader IT team for that or what?

In the meantime, isn't anyone actually blocking the relevant port on the server?
[later] Yup, works for me in Iceweasel so probably works in other non MS browsers. (Does make the whole experience a little clunky, BWTH.)
I'm guessing here: there are subtle differences between browsers use of Javascript. It could just be that the script continues to look for a MS version of javascript and simply fails to load if it doesn't find it -- hence the blanking behaviour. MS users should, maybe, worry about exactly what the script is doing. [/later]

I've been getting this problem for the last few days on my Android mobile too. I've changed nothing on my phone in the last year and now the site has all of a sudden just stopped working. I get the exact same as most people here i.e. a page on the site loads then it's quickly followed by a blank white screen. Completely useless. Is anybody on the PH tech team actually addressing this?
We have been monitoring this, but have not been able to reproduce the issue in a repeatable way on any of our devices yet... until we can it is hard to diagnose and fix.
If it is a rogue ad then that is even more challenging as it could be targeted to certain regions, thus not where the PH office is - and we would have to know what the ad is, what ad agency or network is serving it, to even have a hope of finding it to block it (and we and the agencies use 100s)
But we are trying to solve this...

From what I've seen there aren't any ads on the mobile site apart from in the classifieds. We have tried all day to get a blank page on our test devices and it is working fine every time, so can I ask for more information to try and narrow down this issue.

All forum pages including 'My Stuff' etc. All the time, 3G or on wireless.
Like the rest, page loads for a second or so and then disappears to a blank. While a page is visible the links do seem active/clickable. It is possible if timed correctly, to stop the page loading completely and view the page.

As Gompo - but with an old Asus laptop as I said above.
Any part of forums will load momentarily, with full page all there and readable (I'm not quick enough to click on anything to see if links work) then within a second the screen goes white and it states waiting b/scorecardresearch, and will do that forever (well, half an hour). Loading....
This is only very recently that it's done this - maybe a week or so.
eta just got laptop out to try it again... this time it loaded main forums page slower but still hung at the end.
So, from PH homepage I click on forums at the top. Then aim camera at the screen like a madman...
Then at the bottom while it loads I get amongst other messages......

What's interesting is the page is all there, all works, and is readable until scorecardresearch appears.
I can click on any forum page and it will go there, if I get in before scorecard does.
It will load the new page along with all the loading/transferring messages at the bottom, but page will then go white waiting for scorecard. Click 'back' and it goes back to the prev page ok, loads it, then goes white as scorecard message comes up.
This happens on any forum page as far as i can tell.
Asus UL30A, expressgate version 2.0 build 1.2.13.40.
It also has windows 7 with adblocker and donottrackme - that loads and works 100%.
If I can do anything/try anything or supply any more info just ask

Has improved slightly the last day or 2 not as frequent
