Loading Google maps onto TomTom
Discussion
Since Google changed to "My Maps" I can't transfer those maps to TomTom using "Tyre" software like I did with "Classic Maps"
With My Maps I have to export to a KML file on Google Earth and then import that to Tyre. Trouble is it imports between 7000 and 9500 waypoints which the TomTom cannot accept.
Can anyone help or alternatively suggest software that would do the job?

Yes, I noticed this as well a while back... so now I have a couple of .poi files created from new in a certain directory, with POIs that are populated from inside Tyre and sync them to all my tomtoms (Parrot Asteroid Smart HU+AndroidPhone+920) after I update them. With My Maps I have to export to a KML file on Google Earth and then import that to Tyre. This won't help you if you want to create a multi-point itinerary for a special journey, but then again most of todays app versions of TT don't seem to support Itineraries anyway...only my old faithful 920 (or 720) does....
Thanks for that. I have figured out a way of downloading bespoke itineraries onto my TT XXL but it is rather convoluted and involves creating them in Classic but to save them I have to create a duplicate in My Maps which I can then save and add layers to. Ridiculous and a retrograde step by Google but there you are.
