****ing fridge door - help needed
Discussion
We have an old fitted fridge with the door (and fancy panel) attached to the side of the cabinet, rather than the curent system where the door is still fitted to the fridge and the fancy panel attached to that. The door is not staying shut any longer because, I suspect, the hinges are way beyond their best before. I think the fridge needs to come right out and the hinges changed but I don't feel confident enough (read can't live without a fridge if I fk it up) to take it on.
Does anyone know a kitchen fitter or handyman convenient to Bromley who might be prepared to sort this out. As its only a little job, no-one really seems to be bothered, hence the request.

Ignoring the bits about it being integrated, it's the magnetic seal that normally holds a fridge door shut, not really anything to do with the door hinge.
Are you sure it's not a failure of that?
My only tip is do not try and remagnetise it. Because it doesn't work, and you have to buy a new fridge.

post the make and model number and you might get some sensible suggestions. Most likely new hinges required but you will need to order specific ones for your model as they are weighted accordingly. Not what we call a small job I am afraid. If its the type that attach to the side of the cabinet it will need to come out as well as be emptied/defrosted as well.... far easier than sourcing/fitting a replacement fridge though.
