My new Shed - E36 318 compact (race car build)
Discussion
Having bought a truck to carry my current race car about in, my old audi wasn't really required for towing duties anymore so its been sold and replaced with £750 worth of e36 318
must confess after 4 years of driving diesels it is really nice to be back in a manual petrol car, even if it is only 150bhp only other downsides are that it came with bonnet pins and a somewhat antisocial exhaust.
Original Idea was to run it as a daily car until it died but it looks like i'll end up building it to compete in the compact cup, whilst trying to get it suitable for road use.

Build went well, quite simple to put together.
Ended up racing it in the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons race on Brands Hatch GP circuit. Car did really well, qualified first in class and ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd in class in the 2 races, car performed pretty well only issues where the drive belt was looking well past its best by the end and the engine mount failed in race 2.
Fixed theses bits and ended up selling to a guy who's running it in track day trophy in 2016, He did pretty well at Snetterton in March and certainly seamed to have caught the racing bug, think his plans are to run in the compact cup next year.
