Cats and this Cold weather coming.
Discussion
Seeing as its due to get very cold soon. I was wondering what sort of cold cats can deal with as mine lives outside most of the day and inside in the evening and most of the night?
If it does get down to minus 7 (so they say) is surely enough to freeze a cat?
Although if its that bad Ill work from home TBH.

We have two. One lives inside, just nipping out reluctantly to take a dump. The other is the opposite - outside no matter what. Apocalyptic thunderstorm and torrential rain? No problem. Business as usual, just nipping in for some biscuits and the straight back out again. She knows where we live and can get in easily whenever she wants so I guess we shouldn't worry.
Way back when I was a teen, I worked at a small builders merchants. One cold morning after a goodly snowfall I was fetching something from an open sided shed, when I spotted a snow covered cat curled up as if napping in there. It made me jump seeing it there and I felt angry that someone would expect their cat to stay out in that weather.

Our cat has an area in the shed with a bed and blanket, so if she is out and can't get in she has somewhere relatively warm and sheltered to retreat to.Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
