St Malo to Millau

This will be the first part of our European tour next year.
Any recommendations on 'must do' routes and places?
Planning on taking 3 days to St Enimie

Poitiers is quite nice. Or going a bit further West, La Rochelle is pretty if a little touristy. Most of the towns on the Loire are quite pretty for an overnight stop and dinner.

Some nice tours in the Cognac region, though might not be advisable to drive afterwards.

Personally I would head down the coast and find a few nice B&B or reasonable hotels and then base my choice on restaurant reviews...
