Some of the washing machines and scrap cars have been there so long that there's grass growing on them amongst the dog st and dandelions so it does count as a lawn.

Taking a young lady and your champagne glasses to bed and ignoring one of them? Yes.

Alone with the TV? I think MikeOxlong has painted that picture quite well.

Bud? I'm not surprised she made that comment, I had you down as a man of taste. rolleyes
That was years ago. I'm much more of a food and drink snob these days.

Chartreuse anyone?
That's more like it, good Lord man, I thought standards were slipping.
What about kicking the day off with a Bucks fizz, would that be common or posh?

A friend of mine has been known to take an entire bottle of wine to bed and drink it while watching something or other on telly/vid. But she's Scots.

I've tried it in the past. Not sure I liked it though.

Can't say I have ever tried it, although it was tempting last night when it was bloody freezing to take the laptop to bed with a beer and watch House of Cards.

Now that I have seen this thread, it is probably on the cards soon hehe

Normal?

Very civilised IMO.
Bloody right it is. What could be more indulgent than good company, ultimate comfort, intimacy and a good red. I got some of those enormous wine glasses for that very purpose, and you should share, not a glass each. One of life's great pleasures.
I agree wholeheartedly. But it needs to be a good red, or champagne.

On these cold nights, it's red.

Drinking alcohol in bed is not really enjoyable. I can't do that but if you like then do it.

This is the big delight of being away on business for me ... ropey chinese with a little wooden fork, bottle of red out of a plastic beaker, early to bed and watch old rubbish on Dave. Living the dream thumbup

Seems to get frowned upon when I do it at home!

Champagne only for me! Nice and cold with a hot lady , is there anything better!
Sadly those days are gone. I now wake up to my 4 year old boy clinging onto my back like some sort of rucksack...
Better to have lived it though...
