LOL. I realised the mistake directly after the post and was in the process of editing while you were in the process of gathering evidence for the prosecution. :-)
I went to view and sat in the Faldo car when it was up for sale with Andrew Mearns at Gmund.
I looked at the weave in the bonnet (visible from the outside) and thought that fitting a 964 RS ali bonnet would be a better option !
Once inside I checked out the red horn push and thought "that'd have to go/be retrimmed"
But the thing I really struggled with was the price. I'd just sold my Guards Red 964 RS for £30K, the Faldo car was £60k and I really couldn't see the value in it at twice that of the RS I'd sold ........ Class A muppetry
Still, all's not lost ......

wow is that yours Slippy? Tell us more about it pls.
Bought it in 2011, I hopped on the very last "they're still a sensible price (just) boat". I've driven it a total of 20 minutes in the three and half years I've owned it (and 15 minutes of those were on the roadtest....... ) It was bought as a driver, but became a garage queen
Being Ferrari yellow (a special wishes colour back in '92) it's rare and I believe now very sought after for the colour alone. It's done a mere 41k miles in it's 22 years and has a fantastic provenance.
Many will bemoan the fact it doesn't get driven, but I had my fun in these cars (this is my fourth) when they were still cheap (between 2001 and 2006). I've always had a GT2 or GT3 in the stable at the same time as the RS, so I've relied on them for my driving thrills.
^ N.B I have the original RS steering wheel and horn push (fortunately, as they're getting harder to find and consequently more and more expensive).
The interior and engine bay are concours, the underside and front compartment will be detailed over the next couple of years (I had the rear dampers overhauled by Bilstein UK and fitted new front dampers at the same time)

That is lovely slippy.
Each to their own & all that, but 20 minutes driving? You're a long time dead!
'Tis true, but I'm very fortunate to have/had other toys, but as I said previously, I spent many a happy hour behind the wheel of the Midnight Blue, Rubystone and Guards Red examples I owned previously. Each to their own & all that, but 20 minutes driving? You're a long time dead!
I'd build a '64 RS rep, but building a non sunroof LHD car with a correct (reasonably accurate) interior, decent brakes and suspension etc in a decent colour, wouldn't leave much change from £50k. At that price level I'd rather have a Mk1 996 GT3 and be able to enjoy it (until that too goes up in value and becomes unusable........)

Stunning Slippy, I can see the enjoyment in keeping it looking that nice.
Did you replace the Mk1 with anything ?
Opened the garage door one morning in August to find some tw*t had dumped this in there. Unbelievable, bloody fly tippers .......Did you replace the Mk1 with anything ?
Edit to add ;
Now needs a £13k refurb.
Gear ratios are hopeless.
Engine lacks usable torque.
Suspension is hopeless.
Suffers from ridiculous amounts of understeer.
Steering is rubbish.
Steering lacks feel and feedback.
It's old.
Generally owned by GT3 "fanboy" tw*ts.
Still one of Porsche AG's finest moments though

Slippy, do you have a contact at Bilstein UK? My rear dampers on the 3 are weeping a little at only 17K and I would prefer to keep the originals if I can. It was bought as a driver, but became a garage queen

What did they charge per corner for the service (if you don't mind me asking)?
David Masters Bilstein UK.
Approx £85 per damper. Yours will almost certainly need damper rods as the hard chrome plating pits, then fails which in turn rips the seal packs to shreds. The damper rods are approx £20-25. All prices plus vat.
All in all it still works out far cheaper than a new damper.
As a footnote it's well worthwhile getting the spring seats and their locking rings (and to a lesser extent the anti roll bar mounts) freed off before you have the dampers overhauled.
