How much should I be looking at to convert this garage into a single door as it's a bit of a pain to have these 2 double doors? Just a rough indication would be great.

Taken a screenshot from one of my car pictures so you can see it in the background!

Labour isn't much - plus the cost of a bigger steel.

The price will mostly depend on which new door you choose.

I was thinking just something equivalent. They're currently just manual, twist handle and pull open.

A double manual one would be heavy to use - push the boat out and go electric, either sectional or roller shutter. It's a nice property so deserves it.

They look like the garages on the estate next to mine! Not in the NE are you?

Maybe £2K for the goal post and £1.5K for the door?

Leccy sectional double door will be 1700 to 2500 for a decent make.

Actually, you could... and I know this seems to good to be true... contact a garage door company for a quote!

What a peasant.

I clearly no nothing about this so what is the harm in getting some sort of rough figures from here before contacting people for quotes.

You're choosing your fights badly.

So, let's get this clear. You want to ask some people, who clearly have no meaningful idea what the price of something is, to guess the price of something, so that you can then ask some people that DO know.

And then when someone suggests, in a friendly manner, that to get a price you might consider asking someone who knows what the price is, you call him a 'peasant'?

Well I'm just lobbing in guesses and helpful ideas like everyone else (who's time you're wasting). I even said you had a nice house.

By chance I had a new garage door fitted a couple of months ago. Guess what I did? I contacted some garage door companies for quotes. It works. No really, it does.

I obviously paid too much. 4k which included an electric hormann sectional door. Big RSJ though! Took 2 days.

It sounds like I should be expecting quotes around £2.5k depending on the door I choose.
