Professional Media (8 inch) how do I switch the screen off ?

Hi

I have a 2010 E92 330i with Professional Media and the 8" screen etc. All very good.

But I can't work out how to switch it off ! I mean, to leave a blank screen or maybe just the BMW logo.

Parkers article (link below) suggests it is possible. It says : "Another nice feature is that you can switch the screen off altogether. It’s nice to have a break sometimes".

It should be under the options key on the idrive control. Click options the choose the screen off option.

Have no idea why I didn't see that in the menu when I looked !!

You can also assign a button to it, number 6 turns my screen off!

correct. I have this on button 8. In the Z4 this also closes the motorised screen. Very cool.
