A friend of mine had the rear bumper of their mini CooperS (2011 I think) scraped by some muppet and it's taken the black paint off it.... To car is an off-white sort of colour but the bumper/trim is black.... The stuff you use trim restorer on when it's faded. But it needs repainting as it's taken off the coast and is now white. Does anyone know anyone near Portsmouth who'd be able to do a decent job? They've been quoted £160 which sounds insane.

They're actually around the Cosham area but anywhere around there should be fine.

Many thanks in advance

Ross

A bit further away but Autobrite in Segensworth is very good. Owned/run by StJohn on here.

Agree with above. I've taken both the RR and the Aston to Autobrite to have a few bits and pieces sorted out. Top job.

Thanks for the recommends guys, much appreciated.
I'd be happy to give you an estimate from a picture if you are able to send it to either my email address or mobile. Details are on the website mentioned, or the Facebook page.
£160 sounds a lot for what you have described, which sounds like the textured, plastic trim. This is a simple repair, finished with a texture spray to replicate the original finish and feel.

Thanks StJohn!

I won't see them until Saturday but if I can get them to send a pic I'll send it over. I saw it today for the 1st time and it really is quite small, but I'm guessing would need blending in. Wetting the plastic (yes, the textured stuff as you thought) does help and darken it but a scuff is still present.

Many thanks.

Sent you an email using the website form, but wasn't able to send piccy as I need a direct address to do that.

Cheers biggrin
