Is there, or can anyone recommend an Equine Law Solicitor (needed asap).

It's not for me but someone I know and she has limited funds. Sorry but I cannot divulge any of the details here but please if anyone can help she would be most grateful.

Try Blake Morgan in their Southampton office. They used to have a few members in their agriculture team who did this type of work and were pretty good.

Edited to add a link to their team:

Kerry Dovey looks like the best candidate.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does an equine law solicitor do?
I realise its to do with horses and such like, but how does the law differ around horses?
Not being sarcastic or anything, just genuinely interested.

Just like you get solicitors who specialize in motoring/land/tax/divorce law.

I was contemplating hosses this morning, after seeing a news item about Frankel's offspring. P

eople with a shedload of money take horses very seriously.

It's a mystery to me why, but they do.

Horses at that stature yes. Unfortunately the value of "general" horses is at rock bottom. Princess Anne I believe was looking at the Horse meat trade as a way to keep the "value" of horses above that of just abandoning them. And that to me is really sad.
