One of the alloys developed a crack, I had another set on the car in the garage and finally got round to changing them over this morning, one of the tyres had been a bit soft so it appears the tyre has developed a flat spot so the car now feels like I've a square wheel. Any chance that doing a few miles on it will encourage it back into shape before my spine disintegrates? Worth sticking a bit more air into it for a couple of days to help things along?

Minor flatspots are common, and will usually go away after a few miles once the carcass is warm.

If your flat spot is as bad as your description sounds, I'd be worried about the tyres structural integrity.

Worth dropping the pressure to get it to flex a bit?

I suspect pressure wont make any appreciable difference. It'll probably correct within about 10 miles at normal pressure; if it doesn't, replace it.

20 odd miles later. Doesn't feel like I've square wheels anymore, more like 50p wheels frown
