Wow, only £1070 more than you sold it for if the figures in your profile are correct? Are these hard to shift or did you just get a great trade-in, as the trade bods on here would have you believe cars of that ilk will have a trade/retail differential of about 5 or 6 times that when we are on moaning about getting rubbish part-ex bids!
My final price was the original GFV given by MB. And that was based on 20k miles whereas mine was on fewer than 15k and in exceptional condition (if I do say so myself). So to see a main dealer is only selling it for more than £1k over shows how poorly judged the GFV was.
Regarding trade in, MB wouldn't offer me anything for the car - the best I had was a BMW dealer who offered me £33k.
Also it's taken almost 3 months since handing back to it appearing on te MB used website. In that time it's covered something like 28 miles...

I'm seriously considering a C63 Wagon when we return to the UK in Jan, it will be the family car. My worry is SWMBO might find it a handful to drive in the wet etc, we'll be in/around london mostly...this example looks ideal with LSD, although a 33k bid on p/ex three months ago, probably means at trade value of sub 30k now, so 36 would appear lumpy
Hey Jack,
Actually I'm not missing it as much as I feared and I'm certainly not missing the fuel stops every 4th day. TBH I stand by my earlier reasoning that you just can't enjoy or fully exploit the performance on today's crowded roads. Shame really as the car really shone on the Continent earlier this year.

Hi Ghb
I am looking at the moment for a replacement for my c350 saloon and want an estate. 63 's are hard to find and Truro is a long way away from me in Essex, is a good car worth the trip for me? Your profile suggests you are a careful owner.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.
thanks

Drove past MB Truro this morning and saw said car, looked very smart in that colour and on the sensible wheels. My journey today from St Mawes consisted of cross country, A30, M5, M4, M25, cross country again, 330 miles, 4hrs 30mins, average mpg 23.2 - not bad. Great cars those C63 wagons.
