It's based heavily on the Airfix Mk.1 released in the 70,s, but all things considered it's not a diasaster.

The Mk V I've got was considerably more "labour" intensive build wise than my Mk 1 in that flash and warped parts were considerably worse .

My local Debenhams has a few of the 1/24 Hurricanes for £30 as well, I was tempted by it but think Santa might be bringing it my way. I remember getting a half-finished 1/24 Spitfire from the school jumble sale when I was a lad, finished it off quite nicely if memory serves.
