After a good clean that'll be a lovely motor - I doubt anyone would believe it was only 800 quid! Engine isn't hugely potent but it's still a smooth and classy unit.
Check the steering is nice and sharp - if it's wooly or if you get steering wheel shake when you first touch the brakes, chances are the front control arm bushes are toast. Easy enough to change (use a 2 legged puller) and makes a huge difference to how the car drives for £50. Enjoy your new purchase!

Rear arches are perfect, front right is perfect. The front left (the replacement) is bubbling.
Very common on that era of e46s. I've done several with new pattern fit wings and they work great.Heres a 330Ci i had in the same colour combo. Got the wheels refurbed, two new wings on it and a full valet and had it standing me well under £2000.
If you want to keep the OEM look, you can pick up the factory fit CD player head unit on ebay for not a large hill of beans.
The black mats keep the interior cleaner looking, a new set of fitted mats with locating clips can be got on ebay for £20-£30.

Think im going to have to get a aftermarket head unit. Need usb charging for the phone (phones satnav kills battery fast) and a aux cable for friends phones for music. Unless ofc the Bmw one has this?In regards to the wings, how much do you reckon to have the replacement painted?
Edit: Its got the black window surrounds like the sport, and the seats. But its a se, can I check how it was factory ordered?

The later headunits can have AUX in with a cable - it plugs in round the back where the CD would have gone.
I ended up with an fascia and a Kenwood BT unit as it matched the BMW Orange dash lights. Throw the extra adaptor in to keep the steering wheel controls and its a neat enough solution.
