I really fancy a Harley V-ROD....help me decide what to do!

Well I am really pleased with the bike! I have done a few miles but not many as the weather is crap... But enough to know I really like it!

Its been in the garage today on the hoist having a good clean!



Its a bit longer than the Sportster so I had difficulty getting it close enough to the wall to get the cars in, so I made this device which means I can easily push it sideways...

I think there are more V-Rod owners posting on here on a regular basis

last time I looked on the HDRCGB forum for V-Rods there was 1 post in 2014 .....I guess there are only around 150 V-Rods in the UK so pretty rare

but on that basis i can only assume everyone with a pan european is a fat balding old man with a larger wife..that can't be right!

There are plenty of other options that don't take up much room in a single garage.

I've got one of these Eazyrizer lifts for my Harley and is great for lifting up the bike to work on or clean in my single car garage.

Guys don't tend to post in the bike model sub forums, if you post as a guest and ask, you'll find there are quite a few owners in the club

Congratulations on the bike, there are very few owners that that have bought a V-Rod and not loved it.

Reliability wise, I bought my Night Rod Special new in 2007, have dove over 11,000 miles with nothing other than tires, a fuel sender under warranty and three services.

Performance wise when the weather is good it should not disappoint, straight line is great fun but main challenge is the cornering due to the low ground clearance of the radiator cowls, exhaust and rear sub frame. A K&N, power commander and pipes make a world of difference to the power delivery.

Yes and it whiffs a bit if you get caught in the rain and I made a couple of children cry at the Pistonheads Breakfast meet. Attracts unwanted attention from big dogs too.
