So the SLS isn't getting used much at the moment.

Anyone got ANY idea where to plug in a trickle charger/battery maintainer??

I tried the two 12volt cigarette lighter sockets in the cabin (one in the central tunnel and one in the glove box) - but they aren't live and don't work with any of my three chargers (CTEK style, Optimate or Porsche)

Anyone know where to charge??

Thanks!

My Optimate came with a connector that you can connect permanently on the battery. I have it connected to the battery on my MX5 so it's a 5 second plug & go operation.

I asked the same question. My local AMG Center says the aux. sockets are not hard wired to the battery and suggests connecting directly to the battery terminals in the usual way. Mine is now tucked away for a few months. I find it surprising that MB don't supply a hard wired battery charger as standard as do Aston Martin and other prestige makes. However, I think you can get MB to wire up a connection that leaves just the cable with a 2pin continental plug into the boot, you then need to plug into a UK adapter and then into the mains. I have this on my W221 S Class and works fine.
