What's the pro's and con's guys? In your humble opinions of course.
All great cars in their own right and I'd love any of them. Cautious not to lose too much on depreciation, must be an occasion to drive and great to wax, reasonable servicing and maintenance costs (commensurate with the Marque, of course).
Will any of them appreciate over the years? And finally, anything else I might consider? Not that this conundrum needs anything more adding into the mix!

Regards,
Carl

I have a 360 currently for sale and am considering either a 430 or a gallardo.
From what I can see you should get a very nice 360 for that money or an early medium mileage manual gallardo.
Values of both have remained strong and the 360 has increased a little and continues to do so as it is now effectively the starter money Ferrari now the 355 has gone silly.

You fantasy garage mentions Gallardo. Personally, I'd take the Pantera. A beautifully mad and extremely rare machine.

I wouldn't buy a £60k Gallardo.......I'd rather be top of the 360 tree than bottom of the Gallardo ladder, imo!

If you really want a Pantera go for it - it comes from another era and the comfort and maintenance might remind you of that often but at least you won't need a computer to work on it !

360 prices are going to explode, there are more and more people wanting to store supercars and as the older ones get taken, the newer ones are all thats left.
I wished I had kept my old scud but thats another story.

The 360 is an awesome car, easy to get in and out of and driving from the midlands to London was never a chore.

They are a great car that's for sure.
Will be interesting to see where prices go from here, logically they can't go above 430 prices but I said that about 355's v 360's although the 355 is a bit different due to beauty etc.
I'm moving on so will be annoying to see them go for silly money in a few years but what do you do ? If we all stayed with one car we would never get to try anything new and hopefully a carefully selected next purchase should see me ok

I have a 360 and would be tempted with a Gallardo but i imagine it would be a 1 yr affair and then i would ultimately prefer to be in the fez.
like what another poster said, 360 is now bottom of the tree with 328gtb going for £70k... madness in my mind. However also note the Gallardo is entry level for Lambos as well so reality is both values will hold. I would make the choice on personal preference ... as i imagine both will have the same level of / lack of reliablity!

From my experience with the Gallardo, they are surprisingly reliable and tolerate hard use very well. They are not a finicky exotic.

+1 on this. Gallardo build quality is night and day better than a Ferrari. It may look exotic and sound it but the Audi beneath is reassuringly present at all times.
Correspondingly the FIAT beneath the 360 is also not always hidden. Oily bits are bullet proof but electrics , paint and trim all pretty ordinary.

I'd rather buy an R8 than an early Gallardo, my opinion of the 360 having owned a couple is they were a surprisingly modern and reliable. Getting better looking with age as well!.

save an extra £5k and get a 430, presuming you actually enjoy driving :P

I agree F430 was a big step up and although subjective I much prefer the looks to 360 but then again it came after my F355GTS which was always going to make it like the ugly sister.

I'd rather be at bottom of F430 ladder than top of 360

In contrast I drive both 360 and 430 and preferred the 360 so I would say drive them all and chose what you want rather than what you think you should buy because it's newer etc

What do you find better with the 360 over the 430?

Gallardo. They are awesome. My close friend has a late 360. I drive both. I prefer the Gallardo. Very reliable too (audi). Drive both. Try vvs or a dealer that stocks both.

I always class the Gallardo as a generation on from the 360. 430 is closer......at 60k you are close to the bottom of the market for both.

Pantera would be a real wild card but I wouldn't know how to price one in this market. Especially with the numbers of them around.

Agree with the comments about bottom feeding on a marque or reasons for not doing it but IMO buying at the top end is also not the best idea unless you are a polisher or collector.
I'd buy a well sorted car with a few miles so you don't have to worry about putting more one then I'd use it as it was intended.

With a 60k budget to o spend, from the 3 I'd buy a nice 360 for late 40's tops and keep the rest for rainy days or future swaps....
