Hi have a friend who has just imported a new shelby mustang and is wandering if there is any local specialists that cover the services ,doesn't trust the average ford dealer

There are plenty of Mustang specialists around here, but most deal with the classic side of things.

I could give you the name of the specialist I use, but he's strictly into the older stuff.

The one specialist I do know of, that's well regarded in Mustang circles for the newer models, is ModUrStang in the Cotswolds. It's owned and run by a highly knowledgeable gent called Mike.
