I've been forced to go shopping as our ten year old Washing machine has tonight left the planet of the living with a flash.....

Curry's have a ten minute queue to let you on the website. It then freezes when you try and pay. Not sure on delivery time.

One of their competitors has succeed in getting me to spend more. The bonus to me is that despite a 19:30 order they are delivering tomorrow.

It's all very odd. Not sure Black Friday is worth the bother.

Has anyone ever seen a website with a waiting time before? Even just to browse the damn thing it's currently at 14 minutes waiting time. All I want is a new tripod. Cripes.

You could probably fix the washing machine yourself for a few 10s of pounds.

Never used Currys - try ao.com or John Lewis. As for queuing for a website, sounds BS to me.

There's only one place to buy white goods online these days - ao.com

Which I suspect you've already found out, given the delivery time wink

If people want pc and games stuff then would pc world be the same discounted price?

They are currently without a queue but it might have changed.

So glad you can shop online though, the locals around here fight each other for reduced groceries so I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a crate of discounted LED TVs in my local curries.

The queue just makes people believe there is something worth queuing for. It's the same when a new playsyation is released, they never send enough to the shops just a few to each shop in order to create demend.

I love that these 'businesses' will pay for a queueing system for their websites instead of paying for upgraded capacity to actually serve their customers.

I agree with this, free next day delivery (even on a Sunday) and pretty much rock bottom prices for their goods.
Can't really go wrong with that.

There's no queue. People think there's a queue, they dive in and buy stuff as quick as they can get access to the site because there are hundreds of other people waiting to jump on the "deal". Social media is currently lit up with "Currys have such good deals there's a fking queue".

Probably.

I would go for that if it was 2-5 min, but not 45min.

Should have used azure.
