Are you sure it isn't an Xbox 360? (it is on the website I looked at)

One of my work mates wanted an xbox one, he's out of the country (in India) so I bought one for him early this morning. £299 with four games - haven't bought anything for myself though, there isn't really anything I need and all my Christmas shopping is already done.

Loving the pictures on news websites of people fighting over TV's, who is that desperate to buy a cheap arsed TV?

Some prices of items are actually more - been looking for the past few weeks/month at a new built under fridge/larder a specific make and model.

Not going to name and shame the shop but its £85 more ...

In Scotland the "45" group ie those who voted yes are going to be protesting at any business which spoke out for the union during the vote...

Yup. I bought a Polaroid TV once and it broke down one week out of warranty.

Oldest sales trick in the book.

  • Put the prices up slightly the few weeks before.
  • Have a few bargains to get people in.
  • Reduce the prices of other stuff back to the level it was selling at a few weeks prior but with a 'sale' sticker on it.
Wait for the great unwashed to turn up and strip the place because it is a 'bargain'.

The spirit of Christmas has arrived...
