It's annoying when you wonder if someone good is starting to take the piss.

It's an 8x4.5m room, floating floor and we want the ring replacing and a 5amp lighting circuit fitting. Cable isn't armoured but something harder for the Sodding mice to chew, plus we're having a cable run the full length of the room (+spare) for a future kitchen upgrade. 10 double sockets and 6 lighting points.

He's quoted for two men for two days, on the proviso that they don't know what the floor is like so might need more time and even a chippy on top.

Quote is £1300+VAT.

My boss just got quoted £1500 for a full wire of a three floor Victorian terrace. So that seems a bit high. Although his quote also seems a bit cheap!

I pay £2.5k plus VAT for a 2 bed terrace complete rewire. Them to supply all materials, new board etc. Standard spec, nothing extravagant. Me to make good.
