Turned the house upside down this morning trying to find the spare key for the Tuscan which isn't where it should be. If I can't find it I'm down to one key and its immobiliser fob. Given I don't have the original handbook I also don't have the Meta code card. Is it possible to reprogram another spare from the one I have or is it a replacement alarm job ?

I was in the same position, they can reprogramme the alarm if you take it off the car, i decided on a new alarm and immoboliser.

Was thinking that may be a long term option anyway as I understand Meta units have a finite life. My siren also doesn't work and I know that's a pig of a job in itself. When it was working it was very sensitive to wind even on the lowest setting, are the replacement ones any better ? Approx what did it cost you ?

He did me a new immobiliser fob and had to reprogramme my alarm to take a new plip code as the code I had didn't work. Complete with 2 new alarm plips and the old key reprogrammed to the new code so that it still works.

He worked at Meta for a number of years and from what you've posted I'm suer that he could do you a quick repair at a reasonable cost.
