Wasn't expecting to see any deals today for trackdays, but yup.....

Brands Hatch Indy circuit Friday 12th December with MSV, open pit lane. £79
Also additional drivers and passengers are only 99p each.

I've booked. You might find the discount code doesn't work, it seems to have expired early according to the guy I spoke to on the phone. They're looking at fixing it but you can book it by phoning them.

Yesterday the forecast was OK, today it's showing as being wet all day with heavy rain around lunchtime frown

Hopefully that will change.

The BBC forecast I read this morning were better than yesterday (rain very early, cloudy from 8am onwards), but now theyve changed again!!
Meteoblue still shows only slight rain for the am... fingers crossed.

I honestly think it's going to be a bit of a lottery, with the winds as high as they're going to be the forecasts are going to struggle to keep up with the changes.

Joys of booking a track day in December......

I'm prepared for rain, but will bring my A048's just in case! biggrin

With any luck, if it is wet then it won't be as ice-rink slippy as it was last year!

I did 2 last year, one in Nov and 1 in Dec, Nov was beautiful sun, just a little cold, the dec was damp and soggy. Either way had lots of fun on both.

I was there Monday on a beautiful sunny day. The tarmac however did not totally dry all day. It got better with dry patches appearing towards lunch and after but mid afternoon it became slippy again as the moisture fell. All good fun but to be expected this time of the year. Not helped by the low sun and the back part of the Indy circuit is in the shade all day.

It's looking quite good now, rain overnight hopefully clearing up by about seven.

What are the facilities like at Brands? The breakfast baguettes at Bedford were just what I needed after the drive to get there wink

Good facilities, burgers and breakfast bits in paddock, and the kentagon do nice lunches just other side of paddock hill.
Got an email showing lots of garages free so will try to get there early to ensure I get one.

What an awesome day! So glad the weather cleared up in the afternoon. biggrin

Not so glad that Focus st its guts out all over Surtees.. but it did make for a good video. laugh I was in the blue Clio with 249 in the windows.. we were having a good 4-way Clio sandwich for a few laps until all four of us went broadside in the oil spill. Got it on video. biggrin

Post it up please.

Was the track dry? I am thinking of booking a day up before Christmas but if damp and greasy it just gets frustrating in my car.

It started off wet and was slippery as anything, but it dried out a bit over lunch and I got my A048's on. biggrin

Yeah it's always a gamble this time of year.. I'm crap in the wet so I was kinda looking forward to getting some practise, but very thankful for the dry spell in the afternoon!

Video is uploading.. might take a while though!
