The traction control warning light came on on my Focus RS, followed shortly after by the check engine light.

I also noticed the windows were steaming up inside (never happens normally as has AC).

What might this combo mean?

Its has been found that ABS sensors and/or leads can fail.

Best get your car checked over.

Going in tomorrow, hope it will survive the 30 mile journey in!

Shockingly, it was the leads to the front ABS sensors!

Good guess!

Common fault, the wirss are to short and get damaged on full lock.

That's interesting as I have to do a 58 point turn to get in and out of my garage (the RS having a turning circle like an oil tanker).

You can reverse the abs lead bracket on the struts to give yourself some more slack. I did this after experiencing the same issue as you and haven't had to replace my leads.
