Hi All

Just bought a 1999 speed six cerbera. Went to start this weekend and no go. Cannot hear the fuel pump starting up. Could this just be the fuel pump relays, or will tapping the fuel pump with a hammer be a good idea.

Also the indicators don't work but the hazards do. Relevant fuse looks good. Could this be the flasher unit. Are their 2, 1 for indicators and 1 for hazards. My fusebox layout is not as per the handbook. Surprise, surprise

Any helpful suggestions gratefully received

Regards Phil

Start with the simple. Have you touched the silver key
Then see if you have 12v at the pump itself, if not, the supply goes through the immobiliser. It might be as simple as reset that, I had mine do similar this year.

Fuel pump terminals are prone to corrosion. Located under the car inboard chassis rail rear n/s check for 12v then trace back to relay / immobiliser

I have touched the silver key but returned it to vertical position. What does it do anyway.

It is designed to fall apart so suspect that thats your problem....
The wiring will have given up behind it.
It is basically an immobiliser key.

As for indicators... do they work if you put hazards on and off and then try again?

I only touched the silver key after the car would not start. How do you fix the wiring behind the key. The indicators do not work after the hazards have been on

My 2nd cerb did the opposite. Indicators needed a flick of hazards to work. ANDY at Apm fixed it.
