Amazing.
Nope, I don't like Brand at all, but whatever his Brand of hypocrisy it pales into insignificance when placed against that of The Sun.

The fact is, Brand is doing a sterling job in fighting against Rupert Murdoch's evil influence over the UK (and the world) and that can't be a bad thing.

I'm curious, your brain hurts. What's your opinion of Russell Brand? It's been a while since you expressed it.

A synonym for "People who think the same as me."

The Sun's irritation with Brand dates back some 12 months or so when he sued the Sun, despite having been a columnist, even editing it, when it suggested he had been unfaithful to his then partner, Jemima Khan. I thought she was a bit of class up until she took up with him.

30/11/13 = the biggest hypocrite in Britain (some claim there);

22/12/13 (happy Christmas, Russell) = the biggest hypocrite in showbiz (even bigger claim);

Then a period of truce, although armed it seems, then;

31/10/14 = The world's biggest hypocrite;

One might have assumed the Universe is next but we got, on 2/11/14, just for those who didn't realise what the world was;

The biggest hypocrite on the planet.

And last week they just ran with HYPOCRITE, for those without any astronomical knowledge.

Regardless of the status and behaviour of Brand, this does smack of abuse of position, to the level of bullying. The behaviour of his landlord is hardly persuasive in any argument on the man's morals.

I hope he does sue the Sun but it won't stop this sort of behaviour by Murdoch's rag.

A balanced and fair opinion... Don't expect a warm welcome on this thread.

Whatever anyone's views of Brand, surely seeing the media try their damndest to tar him with any brush would put anyone up in arms.

All i can see is a person with opinions being berated with every instrument in their filthy toolbox.

Whatever brand is, having a media that will relentlessly try to smear something is scary.

I dont know what i dislike more. Actually I do. The sun. I do hope that ALL the tabloids and media die a slow agonising death.

On a slightly off topic, watching the documentry about Christopher Jeffries only highlights this more.

I'm sure the Brandophobes will be back shortly to tell us we've got it all wrong and that the tabloids are really just lovely cuddly defenders of democracy.

hehe

It's not obvious at all, really it isn't, why you would focus on the appearance, when the content so cogently kicks RB's ass.

Still, back to more important matters, what about the use of semicolons?

It's a good letter. A very good letter. So good, in fact, that I'm pretty certain it was written by a professional writer.

I hate the depthless skinny jeans gobste as much as the next guy - but I couldn't get past the 3rd paragraph. It's like the poster read that awesome Virgin Airways complaint, and tried to apply it to politics. Didn't work IMO.

It was dire. Only the Brandophobes will applaud.

I have recently been into three bookshops. In each one I covered up displayed copies of Russell Brand's book with copies of Graham Norton's book. I don't expect we'll be hearing about him for too much longer, once the resulting financial meltdown takes root. Taking my cue from RB himself, I'm going to add the word 'pervicacious' to this post to make me sound well clever, like.

Do you give yourself a little pat on the back every time you type that?
