Glove box on my 2009 Z4 Coupe has just fallen off (plastic hinges seem to have degraded and fractured). Main dealer is quoting £250 to supply and fit new item. Independent specialist confirms there is no way to repair hinges.

Anyone else had this problem and found a cheaper solution?

Find a glovebox and all necessary parts from a breakers yard and either pay an independent or do it yourself.

Have trawled the net for 11 days and still unable to find glovebox! Only ones cropping up are LHD in the US!

Thanks for the thought, but the hinges are right on the stress point and don't think this could work.
