When I see photos of these ISIS people it makes me ask if they have 'issues with women.'
They frequently look unlike the sort of blokes who could be attractive to women- in fact more likely to spend time in their own company.
Is it likely that sexual inadequacy leads to oppression of women and violence?

If you look at virtually any religion's attitude to women it's apparent that whoever wrote whatever 'holy book' they adhere to had problems with women, from forcing them to cover themselves because the men couldn't control their 'urges' to not allowing them to enter the clergy. Very misogenistic

I personally think it's very likely, I'd imagine it also plays a strong part in the wholesale rape of schoolgirls in places such as Rotherham and many other towns and cities across the UK.

Being a jihadist in IS seems to be a sure fire way to find yourself knee deep in poontang. Not sure all the ladies are there by choice mind.

I'm not sure their support for feminist causes is the thing I'd question first.

Christianity uses it too - why do you think Catholic priests were not allowed to marry? Instant army of sexually frustrated young men. Just tell them who they have to kill to get to the sexy time. Or the grapes, if they are unable to read their own Holy book.

Can Rabbis marry? That would complete the Abrahamic set, as it were.

Yes, to women who have to cover their real hair with a wig and who, after menstruation, have to take a special bath to cleanse themselves before going near their husbands, less he catches something.

God didn't make man, man made god. And man made god in his own image; jealous, violent, homophobic and sexist.

No, veganism first, ethical treatment of animals second, THEN feminist causes.

What is feminist causes anyway? I'd guess they are trying to find out why people become female and how they can stop this from happening, the bunch of gaylords.

Only Catholicism ...

But then Catholicism has some other rather weird beliefs/ practices as well.

If you come from a culture in the ME or South Asia where either women and men are separated and/or it's your mums responsibility to find you a wife.. Your dating and social skills to attract women aren't going to be very well honed.

So you could get rather frustrated if you either are living in the West and competing with other guys , or your mum isn't delivering the goods...

Well put.
I wonder if you are a religious Onanist surrounded by a liberal western civilisation that you decide to channel your frustration into terrorism. The promise of martyrdom and those 72 virgins could be appealing to a certain type of man.

I am told by a devout muslim friend that it isn't even 72 virgins. That's a deliberate mis-translation put out by the Wahabbis in Saudi to attract gullible idiots to the cause. It's actually 72 of the clearest and purest sultanas/raisins. And not even chocolate covered at that!!

Apparently the arabic for virgin and raisin are very similar. Any Arabic speakers care to confirm or deny?

Rabbis can marry. And only the tiny percentage of the most extremely 'orthodox' expect of their wives what is described earlier.

I have a good friend who is a Rabbi - none of the above applies. His wife wears her own hair and runs her own business, to boot.
