Hello
My dad has purchased a 1999 Arnage and with it only come one key and no fobs.
Since owning it he only gained access by manually putting the key in drivers door and then operating central locking within.
We parked it up for a few weeks and went to fire her up and no such luck, the car wIll turn over but fuel pump etc does not appear to be turning on and alarm goes off.
putting key in ignition does not turn it off either!
Is there an override to turn this alarm / immobiliser off?

The Arnage alarm system is a pain in the proverbial. Mine started going off randomly including the middle of the night. It would only stop by disconnecting the battery. The car would open on the fob but it did not give the usual beeps. My problem was linked to the siren and I had to buy a new one. There is a battery hardwired into the siren circuit board which fails. A skilled electronics man could replace it but it is not a simple fix. It may help to disconnect the negative terminal of the small battery in the boot for twenty minutes which restores many settings to factory default. It may be some other problem but I would take it to an experienced Indie for an opinion.
