Some will hate this becuase it's modified and over budget.

Whenever I see an Alpina of this age I think of the time I went with my dad all the way to Sytner in Nottingham for him to test drive a B10 3.5

When he got there, they told him the Alpina was so special and so powerful they couldn't let him drive it without a special appointment. They wouldn't even unlock the thing for us to sit in it. He bought an XJ6.

I still have the brochure he defiantly purloined. It was a strange experience, really.

An ex-girlfriend of mine had one of these. It was an absolute hoot to drive.

In some cases I preferred driving it to the Supra I had at the time.
Interesting. It's a car I've always liked, but never had a reason to actually own, but if they drive well....
Handling by Lotus.

That rings a bell actually.

I described it as 'point and click driving'. So nimble, and even with the 1.7 N/A it was adequately quick too.

That looks great, the person that specified that new did a good job. I'm not sure about the car now, C1 block not in car, microblisters and self tappers or pop rivets holding the front air dam on.

I don't think this one's been done yet... Any guesses who the mystery owner was?

That E30 is nice. It's a nice spec.

Does that C1 with the Alpina block out of the car have an LSD?

Thread update, as I couldn't find it:

It's a tatty old E30! The Alpina engine and the exhaust have gone. It's not it's original colour, nor are the seats!

Not seen one of those for a long time! Had a teacher at school who only ever exclusively owned Turbo Renaults, he had one of these that he replaced with a 21 Turbo, in fact I think he had 2 21's and if my memory serves one was 4wd but I could be imagining that. You'd never know to look at him, full on brown tweed jacket with elbow patches etc.
