I'm a fan of red cars and like most cars in red, this Jag does not suit red. hurl

I would be inclined to agree with you about red being a poor colour for an XJ-S (and would add for any car, disagreeing with you on that one), but a week or so ago I passed a red XJ-S cabrio coming the other way whilst I was in my knackered green XJS Coupe, and the cabrio looked a lot better in real life than I would have expected from seeing red ones in photos.

I officially dislike all red cars, but despite this have had three pretty good red cars (1977 Alfa Spider, 1981 Lancia Beta Spider (orangey red), 1983 Lancia HPE Vx), and I currently have a fairly OK 1984 Lotus Excel that is red, so I must be getting something wrong.

On my way oop north by train to collect a thousand quid 1990 525i SE in JRG over luxo-brown. Will give it a Readers' Wives thread if it doesn't explode too much.
Bloody hell BV! Are you planning on opening a museum? You must have a very cool/understanding missus.

Time has been kind to the XJS Coupe, and the full convertible was always a looker, but that Targa really is the ginger scouse stepchild of the range and will probably raid your wallet about as often too.

It's cheap though...!

I rather like the red as well. I remember we had another XJS in red before, and it got the same marmite reaction. A good colour for polishing.

Would you stop doing that? It's not even funny.

Well, if I decipher that correctly first of all that's not the point of this thread, and secondly can you please post details of a £4K 944 Turbo?

It's also at least the second time he's suggested that on this thread.

Didn't you buy a 944 whilst drunk on eBay? Was that a Turbo?

Just lovely. I want an e28 528 manual in dark blue and with black leather.
My dad had one in the early/mid 1980s - though his was automatic and pale metallic blue. I remember leather as being a rarely specified option - very few E28s had leather or air conditioning. This may have changed on the run-out models though.

I like 80/90's saloon cars lowered on steel rims. That Volvo is very nice.
