The Beetle isn't far from me, if anyone is seriously interested in it then I could have a look at it for them

Brilliant. Not enough cars have the number of cylinders emblazoned across the bonnet these days.

3k gets you a V6 and this totally lovely piece of future classic French design.
When I worked in France, I stayed with a family for a month learning the language and the man of the house, a dentist, had one of these.

I loved it and, for all its faults, it was a marvellous thing. A future classic for sure, if you can tolerate the quirks!
If there'd have been one around when I was in the market, I'd have taken it

As it was, there was only one, and that was in Ireland, so I bought a C6 instead

In a not-dissimilar vein, these seem to be going for pennies

I had one in the same colour back in the day, except mine had velour inside. Shortly after I sold it I bought another in the dark metallic green. Great cars, as I recall.

These are just dreadful in every way, the Avantime is cool even broken down on a recovery truck.

Cambelt due and engine management light?!

I loved mine. Ate tyres despite having a suspension refresh, windows were niggly annoying to get lined up so they didn't make any noise. Ridiculous boot. Seats which looked awesome but were actually crap.

Despite all that achingly pretty (I love the Teledial/aerokit look) and the engine is just fabulous.

Absolutely loving this

£5.5k, 480BHP, 4WD, manual gear box lick.

Is it possible to go faster for the money with a bit of comfort?

Nicely stealthy. I'm glad the owner has resisted the temptation to bling it up.

A BMW (any type) or and Audi (any type) is never stealthy....all other car owners see one and expect something silly to happen 50% of the time smile

Hardly, every second car on the roads more or less is an Audi or a BMW nowdays, most of them dull 4-pot diesels.

That S4 looks like a lot of performance for the money but I would not be optimistic that it wouldn't expensively go bang in fairly short order.
