Hi all I'm looking at getting a new fiat ducato van , I have been using a rwd transit which is fine for towing however the fiat is fwd and not sure what it will be like with the car on the back ,has anyone got any experience towing with a fwd van thanks Darren

The Fiat Ducato tows really well. I've got 2 (I sell agricultural machinery) and they both spend a lot of time towing.

Mine are rated to 2600kg max towing weight and they do it easily. I also have a Landrover Discovery but I prefer to tow with one of the vans.

ETA: Mine are the 2.3JTD long/high model.

I used to tow a race car and trailer with a Trigano Tribute motor home ( a Fiat Ducato van 130 bhp 6 speed fitted out as a camper van) and it was easy.

I have a 130bhp fwd transit and it tows a Brian James shuttle with a Mini Cooper cup car with all the spares and tools with no problems

Ive used oje of our lwb maxus tows as well as a decent 4x4, and better in the wind
