Hey,

Am participating in the track pistonheads track day at Goodwood on the 13th December.

My question is are they ok with filming with gopro using the standard 'sticky' mount on my dash?

Or does it need to be fixed in another way?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

It will need to be fixed securely by a clamp, ideally to something like a roll bar - a sticky mount won't hold it in the case of an impact.

This is what I wondered. Best look for a way to fix it then rather than using the standard mount.

On the bike days I've done (not at Goodwood) I've found the scrutineers are occasionally appeased by having a secondary system holding the camera from going too far in event of a crash, eg, zip ties to something solid.

Thank you, I'll have a little play around and see if I can come up with something.

Assuming that you are talking about the adhesive pads (and not the suction mount) then I don't know of anyone ever having a problem personally. Stick it behind your rear view mirror out of your sight line and there is no risk of militant MOT tester issues if you leave it there.
