I understand the outer tie rods are M14 ? but do any of the experts on here know the thread size / type of the inner tie rod ? I know its a chevette / Ford / Lotus / TVR mongrel rack

Any answers gratefully recieved

Think it's 14 X 2, will have a look at my die-nut this morning.

Thanks Alan for reply, It's the thread that is on the rack itself I'm after. The reason is my offside inner balljoint is showing play , and while I've been doing the usual google searches , I've wondered if some of the older ford mustangs complete tierods would fit ? . Crazy idea maybe , but I have found a few mustang models that have the same M14 outer tie rod thread and are the correct length. Like I say , just an idea.

Are there any US based S series owners (or UK too, of course) who know what a compatible inner tie rod for a S1 would be here in shops in the US?

I think it might be the merkur xr4ti for future searchers. Im going to try those.
