FA Cup 2014/15

Pisses me off that the BBC go into overdrive the first weekend of every January harking back to the romance of the Cup - there's plenty of footage of giant-killings (which essentially is what the third round is about) on their website - and yet they choose to have Arsenal v Hull - ffs ... ! Where the fk is the romance in that? I've had a tear in my eye as usual watching Radford score THAT goal for the millionth time and remembering the other upsets, Arsenal at York, Arsenal at Wrexham (they ain't that lucky are they?) but Hull pulling off a shock one-niller in North London AIN'T that much of a shock nowadays ...
So they have the chance to give some money to a smaller club - who'll be MUCH MORE in need of it than the bulging coffers at The Emirates - and they've failed in their decision-making in my opinion. Arsenal v Hull is a Premiership match you can see any weekend - it ain't special BBC so don't treat it as if it is ... so don't SELL the third round as *romance. giant-killing* etc and then don't have as many live games as possible which could show that scenario ...
AFC Wimbledon v LPool is more like it though ... but third round BBC, can we have them ALL like that?

Agree 100%, this is a quality rant. Everton v West Ham is on live telly too... why? That's even less exciting than Arsenal v Hull. Out of 32 matches in the round, there are surely better options than this. Blyth Spartans v Birmingham for one.So they have the chance to give some money to a smaller club - who'll be MUCH MORE in need of it than the bulging coffers at The Emirates - and they've failed in their decision-making in my opinion.
