Renowheels in Bridgend have just told me one of my OZ 8 spoke alloys is too buckled, "has too much of a throw", to be diamond cut. They've tried to straighten it but been unable to sort it. Any body able to help with any ideas or got a spare straight wheel available?

Hello Neil, give these people a call http://www.alloyrefurb.net/Pages/default.aspx If they can`t help you, they may point you to someone that can.

Hi Neil.
Wicked Wheels ( Gt Yeldham branch of the franchise ) did a great job of straightening a badly buckled OZ slotted alloy wheel for me on the day we were actually due to set off on the Spa Eurotour.

But have you considered powdercoating your 8-spokes? There are some really good finishes available nowadays.
Have a search on here for examples of what some of us have had done. Plus they are much easier to look after. Bonus! smile

Thanks both for the suggestions. I've just returned from the guy you suggested Steve and he reckons at some time in the past the car/wheel has gone sideways into a kerb and slightly buckled the wheel, he also didn't think it was repairable but that it was sound and safe enough and if kept on the rear wouldn't affect the driving experience. It looks like if I really want diamond cut wheels I need to source a new straight wheel or as Glen suggested go down the shadow chrome route. Having looked at some of the photos after a search and knowing the problem of sourcing a new wheel I think I'm leaning towards your suggestion Glen. Any way food for thought. Thanks again for the help. Cheers Neil.

They certainly don't seem to crop up as often as they used to but they do appear occasionally, although I believe this pair are now sold (no, not to me).

Thanks Mike, yes I think they've gone, anyone know where? I'm still on the look out though so if anybody does know of any I'd be much obliged if they could let me know. Thanks

Thanks for the offer Han, I suppose it all depends on the costs involved I'll try and email you later to discuss it further. Thanks Neil
