Virgin Airlines to Dubai

Hi Chaps,

Any one had any recent experience of Virgin? I flew with them on this route about 8 years ago and all was good, new plane, clean, tidy, good video on demand system. Has much changed, for good or worse?

Any tips regarsd seats or anything else?

I flew with them in January last year to/from LHR. All was absolutely fine and wouldn't hesitate booking again.

On the way home at the check in desk they were offering Upper Class upgrades for £180 pp. Didn't get it but looking back we should have done, as not sure we'll ever be offered that rate again!

Virgin is my first choice but the missus prefers Emirates as she gets the reward points for them.

Their Premium Economy is well worth the extra and then there's always a chance of being bumped to Upper (which is fab).
The lounge at Heathrow is fantastic.

They also tend to have reasonably hot trollydollies which always helps - in fact, the polar opposite of BA in my experience.

If that was from economy to upper then it was a bargain!
