Vauxhall Astra engine woes/ideas. Seat Ibiza tdi plans

Hi all, I have an Astra 2.2 SRi but the engine has buggered on it and won't start (not sure if its cam related or piston issue.
However I am thinking of a low cost engine swap (my car maintenance skills are rather bad unfortunately but I do know people who are better with cars than I am plus I don't have the correct equipment) and I am looking at either a Saab b204 turbo engine conversion, vauxhall v6 engine or another 2.2 with turbo/supercharger fitted.
Which engines (bar the 2.2) will be compatible with the 2.2 gearbox?
I will be back on the road soon as I have purchased a 2008 Seat Ibiza 1.4 tdi ecomotive for £2300 and might remap it at a later date. What sort of power increase could I get with an induction kit, remap and stainless exhaust?
I know its a lot of questions but any help/advice would be appreciated.
