None at the moment. That quote was with 1 years NCB. Yes, I'm 19.

BMW 328i - cost me £467 to insure at 21, I'm sure at 18 I was getting quotes at about 1200. One of the best performance/insurance cars for young drivers.

I was like you when I was that age - wanting a new car every year. The sound advice is to keep what you already have and save your money, but if you're hell bent on wasting money like I did then just get the Fiesta. I've been trying to think of what else I'd want in your situation and I think the Fiesta will be fine for a year.
I don't envy you paying the premiums for these sort of cars though, I paid £1450 for a 370bhp Escort Cossie parked on the street in East London when I was 21!

Do what the other kid is doing. Look into buying an R8 on finance, sinking all your money into it and prospects for a life for the next 3yrs, then realise there's also insurance to pay and try to find a Black Box policy?

Jesting aside, Adrian Flux offer PH discount. However, a Zetec S really isn't special at all so why not opt for something cheap until you can afford something worthwhile spending more money on.

You're clearly doing something wrong. I was getting high quotes, struggling to find a quote on a 1.8 Corsa for under £200. Now I've played around, found out what makes it cheaper for me and now I'm debating on whether to buy a Ford Fiesta ST Mk6 for £79 a month or a Ford Focus ST-2 facelift for £180 a month.

Have a serious play around with different sites, both modified and standard. Play around with the details - keeping it within reason - and you'll probably find a massive drop in price like I did.

yeah, the fiesta will be fine for one year, i know it isn't anything special, but i think the fiesta for one year is more preferable to me than keeping my corsa for another year..

i don't get what I am doing wrong with my quotes, all of what I am doing should make it be almost as low as it could be

Or his postcode, one of the biggest drivers of insurance premiums, is rated in the same risk bracket as the Gaza Strip.

Why do you want to get a car for just one year? Is it really that important to you? (I don't mean this harshly for once either!). Having done all this myself when I was your age (back in the late 90's) I wish I'd have done things differently, but I was also lucky that car insurance was a lot cheaper too (£1200 tpft for a 2.0 Sierra Sapphire).

I changed cars a few times when I started driving, and wish I hadn't of. Sure it got me into a Cosworth when I was 20, but I wasted a lot of money on the way.

My advice would be to stick with your current car for another year, save up and add to the £2500 you have. You'll have another years NCB (as long as you dont have any fault claims), another years experience and you'll be another year older. You'll be able to afford something better and for longer.
