Daily is 14 years old with 166k. The toy is 15 years old with 128k on the shell, about 90k on the engine and about 50k on gearbox.

Wifes daily is 138k and 11 years old, her toy is also 14 years old with 140k on the shell and a fair bit less on the engine and gearbox.

So looking at the poll nearly 50 percent of PH'ers drive a 10-20 year old daily?

14 in Jan. Its a mk4 golf with 90k. Its worth £800 to £1k and I'm fixing a new problem every other week but I just can't bring myself to upgrade I just wish the engine would blow or something but its always minor things.

As it's my poll, I have been keeping an eye on it.

The percentages have barely changed from 500 - 700 votes, with 10+ years at around 50%, split 41 : 9 between 10-20 and 20+.

Voluntary polls are always skewed by who bothers to vote, let alone who tells the truth, but it's been fun to watch smile.

I am surprised that no one who has posted yet has a brand new toy, but drives something older day-to-day.
Unless they did and I missed it

As I'm commuting in the 22 year old tow hack (4wd van), while I finish reassembling the 28 year old toy (mk1 MR2), I salute you all!

14 years old. 129k miles, BMW, runs like a dream. Soon to be replaced which saddens me greatly. So it will be up for sale shortly.

March 2013, a Volvo V40, it has done 16,800 or so miles - typically I bought a diesel for mile munching and two weeks after collecting it my work situation changed and I went from doing 550-600 motorway/A road miles and week to about 120, tops - damnit!

Can't wait for the lease to finish, I am sorely tempted by an Evo VI.

2010 Evora is my daily and my toy

So 4 years old, 50k miles

It is not on finance or pcp. Its a car I own. Had you asked the same question this time last year the daily would have been seven years old. Puts my in a doferent category, but nothing has really changed, I just decided to have a different car
