It still has a 4 cylinder engine I sometimes think that some of my posts are on an 'ignore' button for all the response there is. <Feeling sorry for myself>

On the hunt for a r129, as expected all the cheap 500sl's have disappeared as soon as I start looking, few decent 300's but all seem to be quite strong money, so any suggestions/spots welcome! I'm coming round to the idea of the 300 as I think it may suit the car, I have the e55 if I feel the urge to 'go fast.'

LI really like that, and it would be my perfect w124 if it were to be fitted with the later 3.2 engine

I may get flamed for this, but I agree with Harry - this is a poor effort, but it does benefit the proportions of the car, and well judged blister arches may do the same and look ok. I'm all for originality, but the C140 does take some effort (and the right colour) to love. Cross posted, but I thought this may be of interest. Twelve cylinders and within budget:

Golly, that's nice. Tremendous scope for the bork, I suspect.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C577319#

Koenig did do a wide arch special of the C140. Not sure its much better;
Without any objects to provide a reference as to size, that considerably lightens the C140 - and this is from someone who dislikes C126 wide-body cars. It particularly benefits the front end - the headlights no longer look 2 sizes too large. Shall I hand my thread membership card in......

That used to be mine! Great fun to drive. I just never used it enough when I had it. Gruber said:

Old Colonel gets some stick on here about pricing but he had an E91 330i with Birds suspension fitted and I thought it was very realistically priced compared to other E91s out there.
My problem isn't his pricing. It's the lack of honesty in his descriptions. In my case, "excellent rust free example" meant rusty arches. And don't get Flangio started on tales of imaginary service history...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
